The City that Never Sleeps, by Dominic De Couto

If I were up in space, Beijing is the city that I would like to watch. When the sun-light goes to sleep, Beijing sparks it’s own light that creates a magic that is mesmerizing.

Buildings that sleep in the day, come alive, like stars at night. Immersive light shows that exhale life from the ground up create an exciting, yet bliss atmosphere.

One of my favourite things to do in Beijing and what I always take my visitors to see, is the city lights at night. Either viewing the city from a high, or jumping on a MoBike and cycling amongst the stars is an experience like no other. When you’re on a bike, you are also very likely to stumble upon one of the many Hutongs in Beijing. Here, you’ll have the chance to see a lot of cool things and taste some…let’s say, “alternative” cuisine!

Whilst Beijing is the most beautiful and diverse city, that I’ve been to. To truly see it’s beating heart and feel part of it, you need to spend time with it at night!
